"The main focus of my work has been portraiture. It has evolved
over the years into large scale, full figure allegorical portraits ranging in scale from four inches to eight feet.
The paintings are constructed through the build up of many layers. The rendering of the figure and the landscape
in which it stands is both stylized and referential to things in the real world. The latest body of work has focused
on images of animals - specifically of cattle accompanied by other farm animals. These creatures face the viewer
boldly and are rendered as monumental in the frame of the painting."
